Today is the last day of the Olympics in Beijing after 16days of competition, I didn’t catch the whole ending ceremony. I only have seen the speech part and the London bus and watched a songs or two, That was it. From what I’ve seen the ending is just awful, compared to the opening ceremony.  It’s like paying almost zero effort in it. Just plain. Dull. Boring.

There were endless singing in Chinese but none English songs while half of the crowd was foreigners. Maybe they all speak Chinese? As for the London bus, it’s like a transformer. With Leona Louis as phantom who just rose from her death. Her first sounds only make her presence as a ghost more realistic. Why they pick Leona anyways? IS THERE NO ONE ELSE?! And Beckham? What a cliché!

Anyway, the Goldies!

US may got the quantity but it’s the quality that counts. I must say that Phelps, need I say more? He was just amazing. Also the guy from Jamaica who broke world record on 100m and 200m running. First one is just like a fish in the sea and the second one.. erm… horse on the land?

The 2nd part of this entry is totally unrelated to above. I just watched ep 20 of Lelouche R2, I was like huh? The history gets more complicated each episode. When I first saw Lelouche’s design, I thought omg, it’s just a copy of Kamui (Shirou from X by CLAMP). CLAMP’s character designs weren’t too original but the story is kinda okay. C.C apparently got her memories but and teamed up with Anya (huh?) and says Anya is Lelouche’s mom? (huh? x2). Suzaku realized killing his dad isn’t the solution to end the war, what he did was dumb (duh!). Schneizel wants to kill Charles to become a king himself (good for you! No, really). And at the end Lelouche locked himself and Charles in this virtual world ’cause his cut the power. Hmmm…

Lelouche R1 was following the storyline and I get the feeling that R2 is jumping from here to there, it’s like they has much to tell but has too little time to do so. Or CLAMP just keeps giving us pieces of the puzzle but never let loose the big picture, everything in it’s time, I guess. They better give it an ending, I don’t want open endings… X… so sad… no ending… I’m still waiting CLAMP… please… give me something… anything is better than nothing… T_T;;;

Also I’m watching Wagaya no Oinari-sama, I’m not going to spoiler anything. It’s a funny, light anime. Watch it when you’re bored or something. Big boobs appear too. Interested? I know you would be ^_^.

I sat in front of TV yesterday at 2PM sharp (8PM local in China) to watch the much promising opening of the Olympic Games directed by Zhang Yimou. In case you don’t know who he is, he made movies like: House of Flying Daggers, Hero and the latest is: Curse of the Golden Flower. I’m sure you have heard atleast one of those mentioned.

To be able to host the Game itself calls for celebration. China have always had low position in the wersterns’ eyes, living in western countries Chinese people are often the target of racism and violence. But China has changed now. 2008 has been a difficult year for China, the snow storm in the beginning of the year and the Sichuan earthquake in May. Together the people there have stayed tight and helped each other as one! Therefore they’ve conquered these natural disasters and showed the world that China is stronger!

I don’t like politics and I wish China could have a more democratic system. But as the things they are now, I certainly can’t complain. And those Tibets people who likes to cause chaos, I have one thing to say:” If you don’t like it there, why don’t you just go AWAY!”. That’s a time-saving solution. Oh and for those who believes in Free Tibet, just think of this: Why oh why does Tibet start this issue in 2008? Not before, not after? It’s the OLYMPICS! Wow, what a surprise. Don’t take everything on TV as they were shown, I’m telling ya’: only the dates are true. If you still don’t believe just grab some money and go to Tibet and see for yourselves. Tibet WAS, IS, and ALWAYS WILL BE a part of China!!

Anyways, back to the Olympics. The grand opening was extremely coordinated and gorgeous. Zhang used nothing but high-techs. It’s simply stunning. He managed to pull 5000 years of history plus 4 big inventions of China in just one hour show. Last but not the least, lighting up the Olympic Torch at midnight local time. It was pure magic. No words can describe it. Enough said, I’m adding a few pictures here but I suggest you to download the show *_*

Same as 21 years ago, I still have the Chinese origin. Inside however I’m all adapted to the western world. My grandma always calls me a BANANA= Yellow skin, White inside! Go me! Anyways, I yearly go to China as vacation destination. Why? Visiting grandparents for one, secondly, I just like the cheap stuff there. Everything is cheaper! And the food are definitely better. The stores won’t close until 10PM WHOOT (In Belgium, stores close at 6PM!!! @_@ No fun.)

Anyways, I was staying @ my grandma’s old house (VERY OLD) two days before my return trip to Belgium again.  It was about 12.30AM, I was watching TV all the sudden through the corner of eyes I saw something moving, when I turned my head towards the direction, I saw TWO COCKROACHES!!! I grabbed a bottle of insect spray and sprayed at one. It fell on the floor and the other one crawled away quickly. But the one I spayed at wasn’t dead so it crawled away under the bed. Than, I made the most idiotic move ever!!! I sprayed under the bed.

Before I could realize, there were ROACHES EVERYWHERE! The biggest one is about 5cm long (2 inches)!!! That absolutely scared the hell out of me. I ran out of the room into the kitchen, but more was waiting for me… This time: SNAILS. Those ones without shell, you know. Well, Those were everywhere, on the walls, floor, in the sink…  D=

I gathered all my courage and went back to the room to grab some money and a book, two roaches were crawling happily on bed by the way, and I made my run. I ran to the nearest motel and opened a room there. Even there I couldn’t sleep soundly, I stayed up until 3AM with these horrible images of insects in my head. Urgh…

But the rest of my vacation was pretty okay and insect free, ‘cept for some mosquito bites. So how was your vacation?

First of all, I’m Lulu and I’ve been around the web for a while now. Had sites before, like Unknown Brushes, Templates Resource (both disappeared from the net meanwhile). I wouldn’t call myself an oldie if I haven’t had a blog before now, do I? As far as I can remember I had two before one called Mangetsu (I think it’s spelled like that) and the other is Cookie Box. Well, that’s today’s trip down the memory lane. I think I’m lil’ behind on today’s web-designing world, so please bear with the premade templates D=
